Switzer has built its reputation on high-quality components and bulletproof reliability in its mega-horsepower, turbocharged Nissans and Porsches - now, the Oberlin, Ohio-based crew at Switzer Performance is setting its sights on another turbocharged German super car: Mercedes-Benz’ CLS63 AMG Biturbo.
These are the first pre-production photos of our final design, featuring high-quality 304 stainless steel construction, a fine-wire finish on the canisters, and a durable “black chrome” finish on the staggered oval exhaust tips. The free-flowing design is more than a sound/appearance upgrade, however - Switzer’s CLS63 AMG performance exhaust boosts the 5.5L twin-turbocharged V8′s output by nearly 30 hp and 25 lb-ft of torque … at the wheels.

… keep in mind, those impressive gains come from Switzer’s performance exhaust alone, not an exhaust+tune or an emissions-altering, cat-delete downpipe.
Switzer’s new Mercedes/AMG exhaust is a full cat-back replacement system that requires no cutting or welding to fit the new CLS63 AMG perfectly, and includes a fully resonated h-pipe midsection, mufflers, and “black chrome” stainless steel exhaust tips. The new exhaust is a great first step for anyone looking to get more power and a more aggressive sound out of their AMG, and - like all Switzer products - is scalable for use with higher horsepower packages down the road.
